Your adventure begins early in the morning as our driver picks you up from your hotel in Zanzibar. Pick-up times start at 5:00 AM, depending on your location. You will then be transferred to the airport for your scenic flight to Arusha, arriving around 9:20 AM. Upon landing at Arusha Airport, your professional safari guide will be there to welcome you and brief you on the day’s itinerary.

From Arusha, embark on a two-hour scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its iconic elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. With an open-roof safari vehicle, you will have unobstructed views of the stunning landscapes and the rich variety of animals that call this park home.

As you navigate the savannas, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, and wildebeests, among many other species. Tarangire is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, boasting over 500 bird species.

After an exciting day of game viewing, you will head to Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge in Karatu for a relaxing evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner and unwind in the comfort of your lodge, surrounded by the beauty of Tanzania’s highlands.

Wake up before sunrise for an early departure to Ngorongoro Crater, bringing along your packed breakfast and lunch. The drive from Karatu to the crater takes approximately 45 minutes, and you’ll arrive at the crater rim just as the morning light begins to reveal the breathtaking scenery.

Descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, an incredible natural sanctuary that shelters an abundance of wildlife. Spend around 5 hours exploring the crater floor, where you have an excellent chance of spotting the Big Five.

In addition to the Big Five, you'll encounter zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, cheetahs, jackals, and countless bird species. The diverse ecosystem of the crater includes grasslands, acacia forests, and freshwater lakes, offering a perfect environment for wildlife viewing.

After an unforgettable game drive, you will exit the crater and drive back to Arusha Airport for your return flight to Zanzibar, marking the end of your incredible safari experience.
